Third Grade Room 302

Dear 3rd Grade Parents,

This second week of Advent we focus on faith.   We look at the strong faith Juan Diego and St. Lucy had in God.  We work on doing good deeds for Jesus as our gift to him on Christmas.

The Advent Season is upon us. This is a very special time as we are preparing for the birth of Jesus.  We will be praying the St. Andrew Novena three times each day to seize the moment as we patiently wait. Here is the prayer.

“Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born Of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in the piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, O my God, to hear my prayer and grant my desires, through the merits of Our Savior Jesus Christ, and of His Blessed Mother.”

“Fantastic Mr. Fox” reading project is due on Monday.

Christmas Concert: Mark your calendar! The school Christmas concert is on Thursday, Dec. 21st. The performances are at 12:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the church. Students are to wear their Sunday/Christmas best to school that day. Please no jeans. In the evening we are meeting in our classrooms starting at 5:30 p.m., ready to go by 5:45 p.m. It should be a wonderful concert experience and all are invited to come watch.

Santa will be here for breakfast on Friday, December 15th from 6:30-7:25 AM .  Please join in the fun if you can!

With the snow and cold weather upon us, remember to send appropriate outside clothing.  That now will include snow pants, boots, hats, gloves, scarves and mittens!  We go out for recess everyday, even if it is cold and snowing!  Thanks

Please feel free to e mail me if you have any questions.

In Christ,

Margaret Kruseman
