Elementary and Middle School Art

Welcome to the Art Page

Parents and students,

I wanted to personally welcome you to what I expect will be an exciting and productive 2017 school year. I am honored to be working with a very talented and dedicated team of educators and staff. I have been a lifetime member of Epiphany Parish, and attended Epiphany School as the first third grade class. I have made my living as self employed artist for 30 plus years and once again look forward to teaching with such creative minds. I look forward to a great school year.

Elementary Classes
This year elementary students have the opportunity to participate in the ‘Mystery Artist’.   Each month I will post a picture of a famous artwork outside the art classroom, students are then to research who the artist is.  This can be done through simple research using the internet.  Students may then return to class and fill out an entry form, which includes their name, class number, and their guess.  A drawing will be done for a winner at the end of each month.  Please encourage your children to participate.  It is my hope that they will gain an excitement for art and a knowledge of renowned artists and their artwork.

Middle School Classes
Middle school students will be given a monthly assignment entitled ‘Artist of the Month’ in addition to art projects done in class.  The artist to be researched will be given to each grade level at the beginning of the month as well as an assignment page on which to complete their findings.  Students may use the internet or books containing information on the artist of the month.
