Preparation for Class:  Students are required to bring a pencil, Religion notebook, and completed homework/assignments to class each day. Students must have their mass journal every day.

Grade Categories:  Classwork /Homework,  Projects,  Mass Journals,  Assessment Tests,  Participation

Homework Expectations:  Students will receive homework rarely with the expectation they are prepared for in class work on a daily basis. Be prepared to take notes during class as well as weekly mass journal entries. For every trimester, one larger project will be assigned. There may need to be outside class time that needs to be spent on this project.

Late Work:  Although students must submit homework assignments on time in order to receive the full value possible, late assignments will be accepted at lower grade levels. If homework is late, students will docked by a letter grade per day. The lowest grade will be 50%. *Rules will be adjusted for students with a learning disability.

Missed Work:

  1. It is the student’s responsibility to obtain the homework assignments, notes & any other pertinent information that is missed during an absence. Class website can help with this process or asking the teacher before or after class upon return.
  2. Missed work due to an absence: Students have additional time (up to 3 days) to complete make-up assignments for full credit. After 3 days, the assignments will be marked late and credit will be reduced.
  3. Mass Journal: If mass journal is not completed by the start of class on Monday, students are required to come during Monday Lunch/Study Hall to complete their missing journal entry.

Parent Teacher Relationships:   Teacher will contact parents/guardians to share class news, news concerning their student’s educational growth, or to discuss behaviors or work habits that might cause the student difficulty in class.  Parents are encouraged to communicate with teacher via e-mail.  Parents should use available resources to stay informed about student progress: Cornerstone parent portal, teacher email, classroom webpage.
