In a Partnership of Faith with our families, Epiphany Catholic School educates children through truth, goodness, and beauty. We provide a Catholic environment that forms students in knowledge and virtue to become saints and citizens who love Christ and His Church.
Dear Parents,
As we work together to form your children into Saints and Citizens, I want to assure you that we have assembled a dedicated team of teachers who bring not only strong academic expertise but deep faith and love for the Lord. Because of this, they see every child as an Image of God—worthy of love, dignity, and respect. They are not merely instructors; they are witnesses who model the faith they profess.
We also recognize and honor that you, the parents, are the primary educators of your children. Your example, your love, and your witness are irreplaceable in their formation. Because you are baptized Christians and your marriage is blessed by the Church, your home is a domestic church. God desires to reign there. This means leading your family to Sunday Mass, praying before meals, fostering daily prayer, and—like many families—perhaps praying a decade of the Rosary together in the evening.
Human formation is also essential. We are not raising children; we are raising future adults. When you look at the world of young adults today, ask yourself: Are we satisfied with what we see? Can we do better? Now is the time to build the habits, virtues, and skills that will equip our children for life.
I want our children to become doers rather than watchers—hardworking young people who finish what they begin. I want them to mow lawns and shovel driveways not only to earn money but to learn perseverance. I want them to build things—a birdhouse, a doghouse—and to fix things—a plugged sink, a flat tire. These experiences build confidence and capability. Sports alone cannot teach all of this.
I have high hopes for our children. With faith as the foundation and eternal beatitude as our goal, we are on the right path. Education gives them tools; human formation teaches them how to use those tools well. I believe our children are capable of far more than we often imagine.
In Christ,
Fr. Dufner
